A skillful three-dimensional play, embellished with carvings and ornamental inlays, generate the figure of the Goddess and its iconographic elements: the helmet, the spear, the shield surrounded by the snakes of Medusa, the owl, his guide animal, the olive, gift to the city of Athens.

The Shield

The shield is made of magical materials that make it indestructible. At its center the Medusa, who with her hair of snakes frightens and crushes enemies.


The Olive Tree

The olive tree: a symbol of peace, destined to be a great wealth. Used for food preparation, as a body care ointment and to heal diseases, as well as as a source of light.

The Spear

Minerva, goddess of loyalty in struggle, of heroic virtues and just war is depicted in warrior’s garb with a helmet on her head, the spear in one hand and the shield in the other, other sacred symbols.


The Owl

The owl, with its special eyes capable of seeing in the dark, has always been considered the animal symbol of wisdom. From the very first depictions, Minerva was represented surrounded by her sacred symbols, including a owl perched on her head. The Minerva owl was also depicted on the ancient Athenian currency, the drachma, and on the current Greek euro coin.
